Gubernur Jenderal Kepulauan Solomon adalah wakil dari Ratu Kepulauan Solomon, Elizabeth II. Ratu tidak tinggal di Kepulauan Solomon, sehingga Gubernur Jenderal berfungsi sebagai kepala negara de facto mewakili Ratu.

Kepulauan Solomon adalah wilayah persemakmuran yang mengadopsi konstitusi monarki dari Britania Raya, namun memiliki pemerintahan sendiri yang terpisah dari Britania Raya. Para gubernur jenderal dari sebagian besar wilayah persemakmuran ditunjuk atas saran Perdana Menteri di wilayah masing-masing. Namun, di Kepulauan Solomon, Gubernur Jenderal dinominasikan oleh Parlemen Nasional dan kemudian ditunjuk oleh Ratu untuk masa jabatan lima tahun. Dalam praktiknya, ini berarti bahwa Gubernur Jenderal dipilih oleh parlemen.

Gubernur Jenderal Kepulauan Solomon saat ini, Sir Frank Kabui, adalah seorang mantan hakim Pengadilan Tinggi,^[1] yang terpilih pada tanggal 15 Juni 2009 setelah empat putaran pemungutan suara. Kabui mendapatkan 30 suara, Andresen Edmund 8 suara dan Gubernur Jenderal saat itu, Sir Nathaniel Waena mendapat 7 suara.^[2] Masa jabatannya akan berakhir pada 7 Juli 2014.
