Karan Patel (lahir 23 November 1983)[1] adalah seorang aktor berkebangsaan India. Berada di puncak popularitas berkat perannya sebagai sebagai Raman Kumar Bhalla di serial Yeh Hai Mohabbatein[2] bersama Divyanka Tripathi. Dia telah memenangkan berbagai penghargaan di Indian Television Academy Awards, Indian Telly Awards, Zee Gold Awards dan STAR Parivaar Awards. Karan Patel menikahi Ankita Bhargava pada 3 Mei 2015 di Mumbai.[3]

Kehidupan awal

Patel lahir di Calcutta. Ayahnya bernama Rashesh Patel.[4] Dia menyelesaikan sekolah di Utpal Shanghvi di Juhu pinggiran kota Mumbai dan lulus dari Mithibai College, Mumbai. Dia belajar akting di Kishore Namit Kapoor Acting Institute dan University of the Arts London. Selain itu sang aktor mengasah kemampuan menarinya di kelas menari Shiamak Davar.[1]

Karier

Patel memulai karier aktingnya di dunia pertelevision pada tahun 2000 lewat perannya sebagai Vigyat di Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii. Namun baru mendapat peran sebagai pemeran utama pada tahun 2007 di drama Kasturi, sebagai Robby Sabarwal. Dia juga bekerja di sinetron Kasautii Zindagii Kay dan Kasamh Se.[1] Berkat perannya sebagai Raman Kumar Bhalla di Yeh Hai Mohabbatein dia berhasil memenangkan penghargaan sebagai Aktor terbaik di Zee Gold Awards selama tiga tahun berturut-turut (2014-2016),[5][6][7] Aktor Romantis Terbaik di Indian Televisi Academy Awards 2015,[8] Pemeran Utama Pria Terbaik di Indian Telly Awards 2015,[9]
