Nafesha Richardson

Nafesha Veronica Richardson (lahir 1996) merupakan seorang pendiri dari Spark SVG yang merupakan sebuah organisasi pembela hak asasi manusia untuk anak muda yang berasal dari St Vincent dan the Grenadines. Nafesha juga merupakan salah satu eksekutif dari Commonwealth Youth Gender and Equality Network (CYGEN), Youth Champion dari Perjanjian Escazú dan juga sukarelawan dari Asosiasi Pandu Putri St. Vincent dan the Grenadines Girl Guides.

Latar belakang dan pendidikan

Richarson lahir pada tahun 1996 di St Vincent dan the Grenadines yang juga tumbuh besar di sini. Dia lulus dengan gelar Sarjana Hukum dari Universitas West Indies pada tahun 2020.[1] Saat ini, dia melanjutkan pendidikannya dengan mengambil Kurikulum Pendidikan Umum di Hugh Wooding Law School.[2]

Aktivisme dan advokasi

Pada umur 7 tahun, Richardson bergabung dengan Asosiasi Pandu Putri St. Vincent dan the Grenadines Girl Guides Association sebagai sukarelawan untuk belajar dan melawan masalah sosial dan domestik mempengaruhi para masyarakat di St Vincent dan the Grenadines yang kebanyakan merupakan masalah kekerasan seksual dan rumah tangga.[3] Pada bulan Mei 2019, Nafesha mendirikan Spark St Vincent and the Grenadines (Spark SVG) yang merupakan organisasi yang bertujuan menginspirasi, memberdayakan serta memotivasi para anak muda di negaranya untuk membawa perubahan positif di lingkungan mereka.[4] Pada tahun 2020, dia menghadiri acara Commonwealth Banquet yang merupakan acara dari Royal Commonwealth Society bersama dengan Julius Karl D. Fieve.[5]

Dia menghadiri acara Youth4Climate: Driving Ambition yang dilaksanakan di Milan, Italia bersama dengan Deaney Gellizeau sebagai perwakilan dari negara St Vincent dan the Grenadines di 28-30 September 2021.[6] Sekarang dia aktif sebagai duta dari One Young World[7] dan juga merupakan eksekutif dari CYGEN.[2]
