Nubuat Alkitab atau nubuat Alkitabiah adalah sejenis prediksi terhadap suatu kejadian berdasarkan pada tindakan dan perkataan seorang nabi.[1] Ayat-ayat tersebut secara luas berasal dari seluruh Alkitab, tetapi yang paling sering dikutip adalah berasal dari Yehezkiel, Daniel, Matius 24, Matius 25, dan Wahyu.

Tinjauan umum

Alkitab Ibrani mencatat perkataan para nabi yang sering memperingatkan orang Israel untuk bertobat dari dosa dan penyembahan berhala, dengan ancaman hukuman maupun janji pahala. Berkat dan kehancuran diyakini merupakan kontrol Allah. Menurut penganut nubuat Alkitab, banyak nubuat ini sudah dipenuhi dalam bagian-bagian selanjutnya di Alkitab.[2]

Tema nubuat kedua adalah mengenai "Kedatangan Mesias": orang Kristen percaya bahwa nubuat Mesianik ini sudah digenapi dalam diri Yesus Kristus, sedangkan penganut Yudaisme Rabinik masih menunggu kedatangan Mesias Yahudi dan tanda-tanda lain eskatologi Yahudi. Kebanyakan orang Kristen percaya bahwa banyak nubuat mesianik akan tergenapi dengan Kedatangan Kedua Yesus Kristus, meskipun ada segolongan Kristen ("Preterisme Penuh") percaya bahwa semua nubuat Mesianik sudah digenapi. Yudaisme Rabinik tidak membedakan antara kedatangan asli Mesias dengan menjelang tibanya Zaman Mesias.
