Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Agama Buddha Smaratungga yang disingkat STIAB SMARATUNGGA, adalah suatu Perguruan Tinggi Swasta yang berlokasi di Boyolali, Jawa Tengah, Indonesia yang didirikan pada 27 Juli 1989, telah menjadi salah satu lembaga pendidikan tinggi terkemuka di Indonesia yang mengkhususkan diri dalam studi agama Buddha. Kampus ini memiliki lingkungan belajar yang inspiratif dan mendukung bagi para mahasiswa untuk mengembangkan potensi diri dan pengetahuan mereka.[1] Sekolah tinggi ini dipimpin oleh seorang Ketua, dan saat ini Ketua dijabat oleh Dr. Kabri, S.Ag., M.Pd., M.Pd.B.

Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Agama Buddha Smaratungga terdaftar pada Kopertis Wilayah VI Jawa Tengah (sekarang Lembaga Layanan Pendidikan Tinggi Wilayah VI Jawa Tengah) di Semarang, Jawa Tengah. Dengan Kode Perguruan Tinggi pada Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Agama Buddha Smaratungga di Kopertis Wilayah VI Jawa Tengah : 293011.

Sejarah

1986: Cikal Bakal - AKIP Smaratungga

Didirikan pada 1 September 1986 sebagai Akademi Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan (AKIP) Smaratungga melalui SK Yayasan Sariputra Sadono Boyolali Nomor: YY/PS/064/1986.[2]

1989: Transformasi - IIAB Smaratungga

Bertransformasi menjadi Institut Ilmu Agama Buddha (IIAB) Smaratungga melalui SK Dirjen Bimbingan Masyarakat Hindu dan Buddha No. H/15/SK/1989.

2002: Era Baru - STIAB Smaratungga

Resmi menjadi Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Agama Buddha (STIAB) Smaratungga melalui SK Dirjen Bimbingan Masyarakat Hindu dan Buddha No. H/02/SK/2002.

Program studi

Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Agama Buddha Smaratungga menyelenggarakan 3 (tiga) program studi untuk Strata Satu dan 1 (satu) program studi untuk Strata Dua, yaitu :

    • S1 Pendidikan Keagamaan Buddha
