Tari Dunhuang

Tari Dunhuang adalah kumpulan tari dari tari tradisional Tiongkok yang terinspirasi dari fresko (lukisan dinding) di daerah Dunhuang, provinsi Gansu, di Barat Tiongkok.^[1] Tarian di Dunhuang ini banyak terpengaruh oleh agama Buddha.^[2] Tarian ini benar-benar mencerminkan kekayaan budaya Tiongkok.^[1]

Beberapa tarian yang termasuk Tari Dunhuang adalah Dunhuang Meng, Fei Tian dan Tarian Seribu Tangan.^[2]

Dunhuang

Dunhuang adalah situs yang memiliki ratusan patung dan fresko abad ke-4 sampai ke-14 masehi.^[1] Dunhuang adalah pintu yang menguhubungkan dunia barat dan Tiongkok dan salah satu rangkaian kota Jalan Sutra.^[3] Dunhuang tidak dapat dimungkiri adalah hasil dari pertukaran budaya multi-etnik yang merupakan salah satu dari kekayaan Tiongkok.^[3]

Dunhuang memuat banyak cerita Buddha serta sutra Buddhis.^[1] Pada tahun 1980an para penari Republik Rakyat Tiongkok profesional meneliti beberapa fresko dan menghasilkan jenis tarian Jalan Sutra yang bernama Tari Dunhuang.^[1]^[4]^[5]

Tarian

Tarian jenis identik dengan Buddha, peri, teratai dan dewi terbang.Berikut adalah beberapa jenis yang paling terkenal:

Fei Tian

Dewi Terbang (Hanzi: 飞天; Pinyin: Fei Tian) dalam bahasa Indonesia sendiri adalah salah satu tarian yang terkenal dari Dunhuang.Sebenarnya gambaran dewi di Dunhuang adalah gambaran dewi dari India yang kemudian digabung dengan dewi terbang mitologi Tiongkok "Yuren". Pada akhir abad 5, gambaran dewi itu memiliki wajah yang bulat, alis yang panjang dan mata sipit.Rambutnya disanggul ke atas dan menggunakan selendang panjang di pundak.

Dalam Tari Dunhuang, dewi-dewi itu terbagi menjadi dua macam.Salah satunya adalah Dewi musik dan tarian.Dewi ini bertanggung jawab dalam menyediakan musik dan tarian kepada Buddha. Jenis satunya adalah Dewi bunga yang bertanggung jawab menyediakan bunga untuk ritual Buddha.

Kedua jenis ini memiliki gerakan yang berbeda. Dewi musik dan tarian memiliki gerakan menari yang indah dan memainkan musik. Sedangkan Dewi Bunga memiliki gerakan menabur bunga yang indah. Tari Dunhuang sendiri banyak berpusat pada dewi terbang sebagai patokan gerakan utama.

Buddha

Selain dewi-dewi, Tari Dunhuang memiliki pengaruh Buddha yang kental. Pada tari Dunhuang Meng, penari menggambarkan tentang kemurnian, kerendahan hati, dan kepercayaan si pembuat fresko kepada dewa dan Buddha yang menyebabkan ia bermimpi akan kemegahan dewa dan Buddha.^[6]

Tarian ini pula kental menggambarkan kebaikan, wibawa, dan kemegahan Buddha yang penyayang.
