Tunas (reproduksi)

Tunas atau bertunas adalah bentuk reproduksi aseksual di mana organisme baru tumbuh pada satu sama lain. Organisme baru tetap melekat seiring dengan pertumbuhan, memisahkan dari organisme induk hanya ketika matang. Karena reproduksi adalah aseksual, organisme baru dibuat adalah klon dan secara genetik identik dengan organisme induk. Sebuah organisme baru tumbuh dari hasil atau kuncup pada orang tua.

Pada bakteri yang disebut tunas, pembagian yang tidak merata sel terjadi melalui pertumbuhan lokal. Sel anak ( tunas ) biasanya lebih kecil daripada sel ibu, sebagai lawan fisi.

Dalam ragi menembak uniseluler (ragi) dan multiseluler jamur terjadi salah satu dari dua sebelumnya oleh pembelahan sel terbentuk protoplas dari pori umum dinding sel dan bentuk untuk dinding sel baru, sedangkan protoplas lainnya tetap di dinding sel tua, hanya untuk menutup kebutuhan pori. Pori-pori dapat dilihat dengan orang tua mereka di yang disebut bekas luka. Pada jamur kantung, dengan konidia di Basidiomycota yang basidia dan basidiospora oleh tunas terbentuk.

Pada tumbuhan yang disebabkan oleh pertumbuhan proses-proses lokal ekses yang larut lebih atau kurang benar-benar dari tanaman induk, misal pada cocor bebek.

Pada hewan multiseluler renda kompleks sel pada permukaan individu induk dari, menghasilkan individu anak, jika mereka tetap pada organisme induk, sehingga koloni. Tunas ditemukan dalam spons (Porifera), coelenterata (Coelenterata), bryozoa (Bryozoa), tunikata (Tunicata) dan beberapa Annelida (Naidinae).

Tunas internal atau endodyogeny adalah proses reproduksi aseksual, dilakukan oleh parasit seperti Toxoplasma gondii. Ini melibatkan proses yang tidak biasa di mana dua sel anak yang dihasilkan di dalam sel induk, yang kemudian dikonsumsi oleh anak sebelum perpisahan mereka.^[1]

Endopolygeny adalah divisi menjadi beberapa organisme sekaligus dengan tunas internal.^[1]

Reproduksi hewan

Pada hewan multiseluler (metazoa) keturunan dapat berkembang sebagai pertumbuhan dari ibu. Hewan yang berkembang biak dengan tunas termasuk karang, beberapa spons, anemon laut, beberapa cacing pipih acoel (misalnya Convolutriloba) dan larva echinodermata.

Tunas seluler

Beberapa sel membelah melalui tunas, misalnya Saccharomyces cerevisiae, spesies ragi yang digunakan dalam pembuatan roti dan bir. Proses ini menghasilkan 'ibu' dan sel 'anak' yang lebih kecil.

Virologi

Dalam virologi, tunas adalah bentuk pelepasan virus dimana virus memperoleh amplop eksternal dari membran sel inang, yang menonjol keluar dan membungkus virion.

Reproduksi tanaman

Di bidang pertanian dan hortikultura, tunas mengacu mencangkok tunas dari satu tanaman ke yang lain.
