International cricket tour
The Sri Lanka national cricket team toured Australia in the 1995-96 season and played 3 Test matches against Australia. Australia won the series 3-0.
The second Test had controversy when umpire Darrell Hair called Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan for throwing.[1]

- Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to bat.
- The match was scheduled for five days but completed in four.
- SG Law and RT Ponting (both AUS) made their Test debuts.
2nd Test
- Sri Lanka won the toss and elected to field.
3rd Test
- Australia won the toss and elected to bat.
