Бітва на Сініх Водах — баявое сутыкненне паміж войскамі Вялікага Княства Літоўскага і аб’яднаным войскам Крымскай, Перакопскай і Ямбалукскай ордаў у 1362 годзе на рацэ Сінія Воды. Важны эпізод у наступленні ВКЛ на падпарадкаваныя татарамі землі паўднёва-заходняй Русі.

Лакалізацыя

Бітва адбылася, відаць, над ракой Снівада[1], левым прытокам Паўднёвага Буга, паміж вёскамі Уланіў, Вароніўці, Лозна, Пуставійты і Чэрнятынці на тэрыторыі на паўночным захадзе сучаснай Вінніцкай вобласці[2].

Таксама існуе прывязка месца бітвы да ракі Сінюхі (Кіраваградская вобласць)[3].

Перадгісторыя

Вялікі князь літоўскі Альгерд хадзіў у карны паход на тых семярых ханаў падольскіх татараў — сваіх саюзнікаў у канфлікце з Польшчай, якія ў 1356 годзе ўзялі бок польскага караля Казіміра. У 1362 годзе ён, выкарыстаўшы паляпшэнне адносін з Польшчай і крыжакамі, выступіў супраць ардынскага панавання ў міжрэччы Дняпра і Дуная. Яго войска было сабрана ў Вялікім Княстве Літоўскім, папоўнена на Валыні і Кіеўшчыне. Восенню Альгерд з войскам рушыў з Кіева на заходняе Падолле.

Ход бітвы

Войска татар, якое ўзначалілі князі Кутлубуг, Качубей (Качыбей, Хачыбей) і Дзімітр — «отчычы і дзедзічы Падольскай зямлі», падзялялася на 3 часткі. Альгерд свае 6 палкоў паставіў y лінію глыбокай абароны ў некалькі радоў, што не давала магчымасці варожай конніцы зайсці ў тыл. Лёгка адбіўшы націск татар, войскі Альгерда нанеслі ўдары ў цэнтры фронту і па флангах. Пасля нядоўгага бою супраціўленне татар было зламана і яны ратаваліся ўцёкамі. У час пагоні быў захоплены абоз ардынцаў. Асабліва вызначыліся ў бітве ратнікі з Новагародка, якімі камандавалі князі Карыятавічы.

Вынікі

Гэтая перамога аддала Альгерду ўсё Падолле, а ў стратэгічным выніку — і Кіеўшчыну. На Падоллі пасля бітвы былі заснаваныя гарады Смотрыч, Бакота, Камянец-Падольскі, Вінніца, Сакалінцы, Скала.

Альгерд, разбіўшы татараў на Сініх Водах, авалодаў невялікім паселішчам Хмельнік. Яно знаходзілася за шэсць кіламетраў ад Чорнага Шляха, якім рухаліся татарскія орды на захад, і было варотамі на Падолле з поўначы. Гэта перамога Альгерда фактычна аднавіла пасля 120 гадоў валадарства татара-манголаў свабоду праваслаўнай Кіеўскай Русі, гэта значыць цяперашняй Украіны, і тым самым паклала пачатак складанню своеасаблівай заходнерускай культуры, якая потым стала культурай украінцаў.
