Izet Nanić (4. oktobar 1965 – 5. august 1995) bio je bosanskohercegovački brigadni general. Tokom rata u Bosni i Hercegovini bio je komandant 505. bužimske viteške brigade 5. korpusa Armije Republike Bosne i Hercegovine.[1]

Biografija

Izet Nanić je rođen u Bužimu, od majke Rasime i oca Ibrahima, kao drugi od sedam sinova. Osnovnu školu je završio u Bužimu sa odličnim uspjehom, a srednju vojnu (opću) školu završio je u Zagrebu 1984. godine. Po završetku srednje škole upisuje Vojnu akademiju u Beogradu (smjer Ratno vazduhoplovstvo i protivzračna odbrana – RV PVO) gdje provodi dvije godine (1984–1986) te jednu godinu u Sarajevu. Vojnu akademiju završava u Zagrebu 1987. godine.[2]

Brak i djeca

Oženio se 6. augusta 1987. Safijom (djev. Remetić) iz Varoške Rijeke. U braku su dobili troje djece: kćerku Izetu (1988), sina Nevzeta (1991) i sina Ibrahima (1993).[2]

Ratna historija

Svoju službu u JNA, kao poručnik RV PVO, provodi u Kragujevcu da bi nakon četvrte godine rada napustio JNA početkom 1992. godine. Nakon napuštanja JNA dolazi sa porodicom u Bužim, gdje uzima aktivno učešće u organizaciji odbrane i formiranju prvih vojnih jedinica. Formira Štab Teritorijalne odbrane (ŠTO), a 1. augusta 1992. postavljen je na dužnost komadanta ŠTO Bužim. Osnivač je 105. Bužimske udarne krajiške brigade koja je formirana 15. augusta 1992 (kasnije 105. BUMB - 505. Viteška mtbr). Formira specijalne jedinice ČSN-BSN "Hamza" i IDV "Gazije" 5. korpusa Armije Republike Bosne i Hercgovine. Kao komandant brigade učestvovao je u ofanzivnim i defanzivnim operacijama 5. korpusa ARBiH, kao što su Oganj '92, Munja '93, Tigar-sloboda '94, Breza '94,[3][4] Mostobran '94, Spržena zemlja i Oluja.

Smrt

U Bužimu je njemu i bratu Nevzetu podignut spomenik u dolini pokraj Bužima. Posthumno mu je dodijeljeno priznanje "Orden heroja oslobodilačkog rata" 1998. godine i unaprijeđen je u čin brigadnog generala.

U znak sjećanja na dostignuća u ratu u Bosni i Hercegovini, generala Izeta Nanića, 505. vitešku brdsku brigadu 5. korpusa Armije RBiH i sve šehide u Bužimu se svake godine održava manifestacija pod nazivom "Slobodarski dani viteškog grada Bužima" u periodu od 4. do 15. augusta.[2]
