Albert IV d'Habsburg (alemany: Albrecht, II.) (Viena, 19 de setembre de 1377 - Klosterneuburg, 14 de setembre de 1404) dit el Pacient fou arxiduc-duc d'Àustria.

Va néixer a Viena, fill del duc Albert III d'Àustria i Beatriu de Nuremberg. Fou duc d'Àustria de 1395 a 1404; llavors l'arxiducat incloïa la moderna Baixa Àustria i la major part de l'Àustria mentre la resta de dominis dels Habsburg estaven governats aleshores pels seus parents de la línia leopoldina dels Habsburg.[1] El govern d'Albert es va caracteritzar per enfrontaments amb aquesta branca de la família i amb els la dinastia de Luxemburg, representada per Wenceslau i per Segimon de Luxemburg.

Albert va morir a Klosterneuburg, a la Baixa Àustria, el 1404. Està enterrat a la cripta ducal a l'Stephansdom a Viena. El va succeir el seu fill Albert V d'Àustria (després Albert II d'Alemanya).

Matrimoni i fills

Es va casar a Viena el 24 d'abril de 1390[2] amb Joana Sofia de Baviera, filla d'Albert I d'Holanda, duc de Baviera-Straubing i de Margarida de Brieg. Els seus fills foren:[3]

  1. Margarida (26 de juny de 1395, Viena - 24 de desembre de 1447), casada a Landshut el 25 de novembre de 1412 amb el duc Enric XVI de Baviera.[3][2]
  2. Albert V (16 d'agost de 1397 - 27 d'octubre de 1439 a Neszmély, Hongria).[3][2]
