Alenis Vargas
Waldir Alenis Vargas Valentin (born 4 December 2003) is a Honduran footballer who plays as a striker for Veikkausliiga club SJK Seinäjoki. Early lifeVargas grew up in San Pedro Sula, Honduras.[2] He joined the youth academy of Honduran side Olimpia at the age of 17.[3] Club careerVargas started his career with Honduran side Fútbol Consultants. In 2023, he signed for American side Sporting KC, initially on a loan del.[4] On 2 February 2024, he debuted for the club during a 1–1 draw with Houston Dynamo. On 8 June 2024, Vargas scored the game-winning goal in the 85th minute during a 2-1 victory over Seattle Sounders FC.[5] On February 21st 2025, Vargas was released from Sporting Kansas City. On 21 March 2025, Vargas was announced at SJK Seinäjoki in Finnish Veikkausliiga, after signing a two-year deal with a one-year option.[6] On 28 April, he scored his first goal in Veikkausliiga, in a home match against Haka at the OmaSP Stadion.
