Chaboksar (Persian: چابكسر)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Chaboksar District of Rudsar County, Gilan province, Iran.[4]

Demographics

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 7,891 in 2,270 households.[5] The following census in 2011 counted 6,994 people in 2,229 households.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 8,224 people in 2,750 households.[2]

Climate

Chaboksar has a humid subtropical climate (Köppen: Cfa, Trewartha: Cf), with warm, humid summers and cool, damp winters.[citation needed]
