John Barton (c. 1934 – 1994) was an English professional rugby league footballer who played in the 1950s and 1960s. He played at representative level for Great Britain , and at club level for Leigh ,[ 5] and Wigan , as a prop .[ 3]
Playing career
International honours
John Barton won caps for Great Britain while at Wigan in 1960 against France, and in 1961 against New Zealand.[ 3]
Championship final appearances
John Barton played at prop in Wigan 's 27-3 victory over Wakefield Trinity in the Championship Final during the 1959–60 season at Odsal , Bradford on Saturday 21 May 1960.[ 6]
Challenge Cup Final appearances
