Reception
Professional ratings Review scores Source Rating AllMusic [ 3]
The AllMusic review by Scott Yanow stated "the two saxophonists have their own sounds and the logic in their improvisations is both unpredictable and highly original. The versatile pianist Geri Allen fits in well with her contemporaries and both bassist Lonnie Plaxico and Brooks (who contributed two originals) are strong in support of the soloists".[ 3]
