Emporis is probably good enough right? @Sagittarian Milky Way: That's why I was saying you should get the WMF to pay for it by adding it to the WP:Wikipedia Library. 119.59.121.172 (talk) 03:45, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-03-03T03:45:00.000Z","author":"119.59.121.172","type":"comment","level":2,"id":"c-119.59.121.172-2021-03-03T03:45:00.000Z-Sagittarian_Milky_Way-2021-03-03T03:34:00.000Z","replies":["c-Sagittarian_Milky_Way-2021-03-03T04:09:00.000Z-119.59.121.172-2021-03-03T03:45:00.000Z"]}}-->
I'm no fiscal conservative but doesn't that sound like an inefficient use of resources? Wikimedia isn't exactly rich and Emporis is high quality. Sagittarian Milky Way (talk) 04:09, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-03-03T04:09:00.000Z","author":"Sagittarian Milky Way","type":"comment","level":3,"id":"c-Sagittarian_Milky_Way-2021-03-03T04:09:00.000Z-119.59.121.172-2021-03-03T03:45:00.000Z","replies":["c-119.59.121.172-2021-03-03T04:15:00.000Z-Sagittarian_Milky_Way-2021-03-03T04:09:00.000Z"]}}-->
@Sagittarian Milky Way: the WMF made over $120,000,000 last year, the vast majority of which did not go to actually necessary things like running the servers, but was spent on various side things like what I was suggesting. They also have more than $165,000,000 cash in hand, WP:CANCER has more details. Further there's a big discount for non-profits compared to other users, I think they only pay like $1500, and with the WMF's prestige and negotiating power they could probably bargain that lower. 119.59.121.172 (talk) 04:15, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-03-03T04:15:00.000Z","author":"119.59.121.172","type":"comment","level":4,"id":"c-119.59.121.172-2021-03-03T04:15:00.000Z-Sagittarian_Milky_Way-2021-03-03T04:09:00.000Z","replies":["c-Sagittarian_Milky_Way-2021-03-03T19:43:00.000Z-119.59.121.172-2021-03-03T04:15:00.000Z"]}}-->
I don't know if this tier was there the last time I checked (soon after free content became severely limited some months ago) but as of today it's only $500 for nonprofits. The $10,000 is apparently a very, very deluxe tier for major high rise-related businesses with stuff like "free" conference tickets, nominating slots, speaking time (?) and being added to a directory with top architects, engineers, elevator makers etc, even the $500 membership offers some of that (not really useful for an encyclopedia) but it is what it is. @Sagittarian Milky Way: Even better then, I mean as much money as contributors have given to the WMF over the years there should be no problem with them spending a little to help contributors do research, and $500 is a comparative drop in the bucket, it can't possibly hurt to ask at least. 119.59.121.171 (talk) 21:51, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-03-03T21:51:00.000Z","author":"119.59.121.171","type":"comment","level":6,"id":"c-119.59.121.171-2021-03-03T21:51:00.000Z-Sagittarian_Milky_Way-2021-03-03T19:43:00.000Z","replies":["c-Sagittarian_Milky_Way-2021-03-03T22:00:00.000Z-119.59.121.171-2021-03-03T21:51:00.000Z"]}}-->

@Sagittarian Milky Way: I'm not entirely sure, I haven't really dealt much with anything behind the scenes in a decade, mostly I just gnome to kill-time for a few days once or twice a year. I think the best way would be to reach out either by e-mail or on their meta talk pages to meta:User:Qgil-WMF, and meta:User:Quiddity (WMF), who are the community relations specialists, even if they can't help you they can almost certainly point you to the person who can, supposedly the whole SUL thing was going to automatically create accounts for people on all wikis, but recently I heard that wasn't true, so if you haven't made a meta account yet you made need to. 119.59.121.171 (talk) 22:16, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-03-03T22:16:00.000Z","author":"119.59.121.171","type":"comment","level":8,"id":"c-119.59.121.171-2021-03-03T22:16:00.000Z-Sagittarian_Milky_Way-2021-03-03T22:00:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
Actually before I disappear into the aether, this is probably the last day I'll be around for a while now that I going to be back into things in real life, I'm actually editing through a tethered connection to my phone, and I use an app while I'm on the road that is supposed to enhance security/privacy when doing that. Anyway once I get back I'm going to turn it off so my connection is faster and everytime I turn it off for more than a 24 hours and turn it back on I get assigned a completely new IP range, I mean not even resembling the old one, I suppose they just have a pool they swap between users. But if I'm gnoming around 6 months to a year from now and see that you need help I may drop by, be well. 119.59.121.171 (talk) 22:23, 3 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]__DTELLIPSISBUTTON__{"threadItem":{"timestamp":"2021-03-03T22:23:00.000Z","author":"119.59.121.171","type":"comment","level":8,"id":"c-119.59.121.171-2021-03-03T22:23:00.000Z-Sagittarian_Milky_Way-2021-03-03T22:00:00.000Z","replies":[]}}-->
