Josef Bick

Josef BICK (naskiĝinta la 22-an de majo 1880 sur Kastelo Wildeck apud Abstatt, mortinta la 5-an de aprilo 1952 en Vieno) estis germana kaj aŭstra filologo kaj estro de la Aŭstria Nacia Biblioteko.

Vivo

Estante filo de forstisto li studis klasikan filologion ĉe Germana Universitato de Prago. Tie li membriĝis ĉe la katolika studenta korporacio KDStV Ferdinandea Prag ene de CV.[1]. Dum esplorada restado je Gießen li anis ankoraŭ ĉe la klubo VKDSt Hasso-Rhenania; post reveno Pragon li en 1905 kunfondis KDStV Vandalia Prag.[2] Sekvis aliaj honoraj membrecoj Viene kaj Insbruke. Li doktoriĝis kaj iĝis aŭstra civitano en la 1907-a jaro. Transloĝiĝis li Vienon kaj eklaboris li ĉe Kortega biblioteko; habilitiĝo ĉe la universitato de Vieno sekvis kaj en 1914 li nomumiĝis eksterorda profesoro.

En 1918 li iĝis biblioteka vicdirektoro post Josef Donabaum; en decembro 1921 li akceptiĝis en la framasonisma loĝio Fortschritt Viene.[3] En 1923 li ekestris la nove struturigita Nacia Biblioteko kaj ŝanĝis ĝin en modernan sciencan publikan uzadinstituton enkondukante novan luprensistemon kaj unuigante ĉiujn grandajn aŭstrajn bibliotekojn. En 1934 li krome estiĝis estro de la kolektaro de muzeo Albertina. En 1931 oni aljuĝis al li la meritordenon Großes Ehrenzeiĉen für Verdienste um die Republik Österreich kaj li iĝis membro de la Aŭstra Akademio de Sciencoj. Dum Aŭstrofaŝismo anis Bick ĉe Federacia Kultura Konsilio kun raportodevo antaŭ la parlamento Bundestag. Helpis li la agojn de la Internacia Esperanto-Muzeo en Vieno.

En la 16.3.1938 li estis arestita kaj poste deportita en la koncentrejojn de Dachau kaj Sachsenhausen. Riproĉis oni al li esti donacinta altvalorajn manuskriptojn vienajn al lia papa moŝto Pio la 12-a. Post liberiĝo li jam ne rajtis loĝi Viene sed nur en Markt Piesting en socia izoleco. Biblioteka sekvanto Viene iĝis la nazio Paul Heigl. Reenoficiĝo solena okazis en la 30.6.1945. La edukadministro Felix Hurdes vokis Bick estri komisionon por malaperigi nacisocialisman literaturon. Post retiriĝo en 1949 li mortis en 1952 en hospitalo en Vieno.[4] post apopleksio.
