Marĝeno

Marĝenoj en la lasta paĝo de 15ajarcenta inkunablo.

En skriba dokumento marĝeno estas rezervita spaco apud grafika objekto. En la ordinara senco, marĝenoj estas la spacoj rande de la tuta paĝo. Sed ĝi validas ankaŭ pri unuopaj grafikaj objektoj, ekzemple pri bildo, kiun izolas blankaj spacoj. Ĉar grafikaj objektoj estas pliofte kvaranguloj, oni distingas supran, dekstran, malsupran kaj maldekstran marĝenojn. Tamen, senfona bildo estas ekzemplo de objekto kun malpli simpla formo, kiu povas havi unu solan ĉirkaŭmarĝenon.

En kajeroj aŭ libroj oni parolas pri interna kaj ekstera marĝenoj, prefere ol dekstra kaj maldekstra. La interna marĝeno estas tiu, kiu kuŝas rande de la bindaĵo.
