Rio Maior estas portugala urbo de la provinco Ribatejo (la nomo Ribatejo signifas proksimume Ĉetaĵejo), subregiono Lezíria do Tejo kaj de la Distrikto Santarém kun ĉirkaŭ 21 000 loĝantoj.

La urbo Rio Maior estas sidejo de la municipo Rio Maior, kun 272,76 km² de areo kaj 21 005 loĝantoj (2021), subdividita en dek freguesias. En 1945 oni inaŭguris fervojon Rio Maior-Vale de Santarém (ĉefe rilate al karbotransportado).
