Pyhä Cajetan Thieneläinen (6. lokakuuta 1480 Vicenza, Italia – 7. elokuuta 1547 Napoli, Italia) oli pappi, pyhimys ja yhteisön Ordo Clericorum Regularium perustaja.[1][2][3] Hän syntyi toiseksi pojaksi hurskaaseen Caspar de Thiennan ja Maria Portan perheeseen.[2] Cajetanin äiti omisti hänet hänen kasteensa jälkeen Neitsyt Marialle.[4] Hän opiskeli lakia Paduassa, ja hänelle tarjottiin tehtäviä hallituksessa, mutta hän kieltäytyi etsiäkseen hengellistä kutsumusta Roomassa.[2] Hänet huomattiin ja pakotettiin ottamaan vastaan virka mutta vihittiin myöhemmin papiksi vuonna 1516.[2][5] Hän perusti 3. toukokuuta 1524 kolmen muun kanssa yhteisön Ordo Clericorum Regularium.[2][3] He omistautuivat saarnaamiselle, sakramenttien jakamiselle ja kirkon seremonioiden huolelliselle toteuttamiselle.[6] Hän kuoli 1547 Napolissa luonnollisista syistä.[2] Paavi Urbanus VIII julisti hänet autuaaksi 8. lokakuuta 1629 ja paavi Klemens X julisti hänet pyhimykseksi 12. huhtikuuta 1671.[2] Hän eli seuraavien yhdeksän paavin hallintokausien aikana: Sixtus IV (1471–1484), Innocentius VIII (1484–1492), Aleksanteri VI (1492–1503), Pius III (1503), Julius II (1503–1513), Leo X (1513–1521), Hadrianus VI (1522–1523), Klemens VII (1523–1534) ja Paavali III (1534–1549).[7] Hän on työntekijöiden, työpaikan etsijöiden, työttömien, uhkapelaajien, pankkiirien, Argentiinan, Albanian, Brasilian, El Salvadorin, Guatemalan ja Italian suojeluspyhimys.[1] Hänen reliikkejään on pyhän Paavalin kirkossa Napolissa, ja hänen juhlaansa vietetään 7. elokuuta.[5]

Cajetania on muistettu roomalaiskatolisessa messussa seuraavanlaisella latinankielisellä kollehtarukouksella:[8]

»Deus, qui beáto Caietáno Confessóri tuo apostólicam vivéndi formam imitári tribuísti: da nobis, eius intercessióne et exémplo, in te semper confídere et sola cæléstia desideráre. (Jumala, joka annoit siunatulle Cajetan Tunnustajallesi apostolisen elämäntavan noudatettavaksi: salli meidän hänen esirukouksensa ja esimerkkinsä kautta luottaa aina sinuun ja toivoa vain taivasta.)»
