Extreme Rules (2010) oli World Wrestling Entertainment -painiyhtiön tuottama pay-per-viewselvennä, joka järjestettiin 25. huhtikuuta 2010 1st Mariner Areenalla Baltimoressa, Marylandissa. Sen sponsoroi KFC. Tämä PPV tunnettiin ennen nimellä One Night Stand, mutta vuonna 2009 nimi vaihdettiin. Tapahtuma paikkasi Backlash-tapahtuman siirtyessään huhtikuun PPV:ksi. Taustaa

Triple H loukkaantui yli puoleksi vuodeksi, Sheamusia vastaan taistellessa.

Pääfeudi RAW’sta oli WWE-mestarin, John Cenan ja Batistan välillä. Feudi alkoi helmikuisessa pay-per-viewissä WWE Elimination Chamber -tapahtumassa, kun Batista voitti Cenan WWE-mestaruuden Elimination Chamber -ottelun jälkeen. World Heavyweight -mestari Jack Swagger SmackDown-brändistä määrättiin kohtaamaan Randy Orton RAW-brändistä, mestaruusottelussa. WrestleManiassa Swagger voitti Money in the Bank -tikapuuottelun ja ansaitsi sopimuksen mestaruusmatsiin, missä vain ja milloin vain hän sen haluaisi. 2. huhtikuuta Swagger rahasti salkkunsa Chris Jerichon World Heavyweight -mestaruuden ja voitti sen. Edgen ja Jerichon #1 haastajien matsin päätyttyä tupla ulos -laskuun, RAW’n illan isäntä David Hasselhoff ilmoitti, että Swagger tulisi kohtaamaan Extreme Rules -ottelussa Randy Ortonin, joka on selättänyt hänet kahdesti.

RAW-brändistä Extreme Rulesissa kohtasivat myös Triple H ja Sheamus.
