Koulutuskuntayhtymä Osao (1.1.2020 asti Oulun seudun ammattiopisto) on Oulun seudulla toimiva monialainen ammattiopisto, jossa opiskelee 8 500 nuorta ja aikuista.[2] Osaon 12 koulutusyksikköä sijaitsevat Kempeleessä, Limingassa, Oulussa, Muhoksella, Pudasjärvellä ja Taivalkoskella. Osaossa voi suorittaa 34 eri ammatillista perustutkintoa ja koulutusohjelmia on 66, joiden rinnalla on mahdollista tehdä myös lukio-opintoja. Ammatillinen tutkinto antaa hakukelpoisuuden korkeakouluopintoihin.

Osaossa voi opiskella seitsemää koulutusalaa: kulttuuriala, luonnontieteiden ala, luonnonvara- ja ympäristöala, matkailu-, ravitsemis- ja talousala, sosiaali-, terveys- ja liikunta-ala, tekniikan ja liikenteen ala, ja yhteiskuntatieteiden, liiketalouden ja hallinnon ala.

Osao järjestää myös oppisopimuskoulutusta sekä ammatillisiin perustutkintoihin ja ammatti- ja erikoisammattitutkintoihin valmistavaa koulutusta. Osaossa on 900 työntekijää.

Puukotus

Myllytullin yksikössä 10. lokakuuta 2013 16-vuotias koulussa opiskeleva miespuolinen opiskelija puukotti kolmea naispuolista opiskelijaa sekä koulun vahtimestaria.[3]
