Le Logiciel Système 5, couramment surnommé Système 5, est un système d'exploitation des ordinateurs Macintosh, publié par Apple en octobre 1987. Son prédécesseur est le Système 4 et son successeur le Système 6.

C'est le premier du nom à porter un numéro de version unifié (jusqu'alors, les systèmes Mac étaient désignés par une version du Finder et une version du système proprement dit)^{[réf. souhaitée]}. Dans le logiciel Système 5, le « System » proprement dit affichait la version 4.2 (en réalité le Système 5 n'existe pas), et le Finder la version 6.0^{[réf. souhaitée]}.

Système 5 introduit le MultiFinder, qui permet aux applications de fonctionner en arrière-plan, en opposition au Finder, dans lequel, parmi toutes les applications ouvertes, seule celle qui était au premier plan pouvait s'exécuter. Un autre apport important est Color QuickDraw, pris en charge par le Macintosh II. Cette évolution changera de manière significative l'ampleur et la conception de l'architecture fondamentale graphiques^{[réf. nécessaire]}.
