Kuala Lumpur merupakan wilayah federal yang dipimpin oleh seorang wali kota (bahasa Melayu: datuk bandar) yang memimpin pemerintahan administratif di Dewan Bandaraya Kuala Lumpur.

Wali Kota Kuala Lumpur dipilih dan dilantik oleh Menteri Wilayah Federal Malaysia setelah diperkenankan oleh Yang di-Pertuan Agong dan mendapat persetujuan dari Perdana Menteri Malaysia dengan masa jabatan setidaknya dua tahun dalam satu periode.[1] Saat ini, jabatan Wali Kota Depok dipimpin oleh Mahadi Che Ngah sejak 1 Oktober 2020.[2]
