Alejandro Sánchez Benítez, meglio noto come Álex Sánchez (Barcellona, 3 febbraio 1991), è un ex calciatore spagnolo, di ruolo portiere.

Club

Giovanili

Cresce nelle giovanili del Barcellona, squadra della sua città natale. Nell'agosto 2010 passa a titolo definitivo al Real Saragozza, che lo inserisce nella squadra B, con cui però non ottiene nessuna presenza.

Alavés

La stagione successiva passa all'Alavés, in Segunda División B, con cui gioca due partite di campionato.

Badalona

Nel luglio 2012 va a giocare nel Badalona, sempre in Segunda División B, rimanendovi per una stagione e mezza, collezionando 5 apparizioni, di cui una in Copa del Rey, il 29 agosto 2012, nello spareggio del 1º turno, in trasferta contro il Llagostera, sfida persa per 1-0.[2]

Valencia Mestalla

All'inizio del 2014 passa al Valencia Mestalla, squadra filiale del Valencia, militante in Segunda División B. Esordisce il 23 marzo nel derby perso per 2-0 in casa del Levante B, subentrando a gara in corso.[3] Chiude le sue due stagioni e mezzo a Valencia con 45 presenze.

Foggia

Il 4 agosto 2016 viene ufficializzato il suo trasferimento in Lega Pro al Foggia, con cui firma un contratto biennale.[4]

Il 23 aprile 2017 conquista, con la squadra pugliese, la promozione in Serie B.

Nazionale

Con la nazionale Under-17 vince l'Europeo 2008 da titolare. Due anni dopo partecipa con l'Under-19 all'Europeo di categoria, giocando da titolare e perdendo la finale contro la Francia.

Nel 2011 disputa con la Spagna il Mondiale Under-20 come riserva di Fernando Pacheco, giocando una sola partita.
