来歴

生い立ち

キム・リチャーズは、1964年9月19日、父ケネス・エドウィン・リチャーズと母キャスリーン・メアリーの間にニューヨーク州ミネオラで生まれた[1][2][3][4]。彼らは1972年に離婚し、その後母親は再婚した。

彼女の姉妹には、母の最初の結婚相手との間に生まれた姉で、同じ女優のキャシー・ヒルトンと、妹で同じく女優のカイル・リチャーズがいる[5]。キャシーの娘のパリス・ヒルトンとニッキー・ヒルトンは姪にあたる。ウェールズとアイルランドの家系[6][7]。

芸能キャリア

リチャーズは「Firth Carpet」のテレビCMに出演した[2]後、1970年から71年までテレビシリーズの『ぼくらのナニー』にプルーデンス・エベレット役で出演した。また、『星の国から来た仲間』などいくつかのディズニー映画に出演した[8][9]。他にも『大草原の小さな家』にもオルガ役で出演している[10]。

『ザ・カー』ではジェームズ・ブローリンの娘役で妹のカイル・リチャーズと共演している。人気テレビシリーズの『アーノルド坊やは人気者』や『白バイ野郎ジョン&パンチ』などにもゲスト出演している[10][11][12][13]。

2000年代以降では、『ブラック・スネーク・モーン』でクリスティーナ・リッチの疎遠な母親として出演しており、『星の国から来た仲間』のリメイクである2009年の『ウィッチマウンテン/地図から消された山』には、オリジナルでの役名「ティア」から少し変わった「ティナ」という役でカメオ出演している[8][9][14]。

2010年には妹のカイルと共に『The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills』にレギュラーキャストとして出演を始めた。5シーズン後、個人的な事情で去ったものの[15][16]、第6シーズンにゲストスターとして出演している[17]。

私生活

1985年に、後にプロのポーカープレイヤーとなる[18]モンティ・ブリンソンと結婚[5]、翌年娘のブルックを授かる[18]。ブリンソンとは1988年に離婚し、その年の後半、石油王マーヴィン・デイヴィスの息子グレッグ・デイヴィスと結婚した[18]。二人の間には娘のホイットニーと息子のチャドがいる[5][18]。デイヴィスとは1991年に離婚している。

リチャーズは商品販売員ジョン・J・コレットと関わっていた。彼は8000人の高齢投資家から1億5000万ドルの損失を伴う犯罪の中心人物で、1991年10月28日、ロサンゼルスノースリッジのBrent's Deliの外で、3万ドルを払ったヒットマンに至近距離から頭を撃たれて殺害された[19]。銃撃時二人は電話で話していた[20]。リチャーズは『The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills』のエピソードでコレットの殺人について語った[21]。

その後、航空機部品の供給業者ジョン・ジャクソンと長期の関係を持ち、1995年に娘のキンバリー・ジャクソンを出産した[18]。

2015年4月15日、リチャーズはザ・ビバリーヒルズ・ホテルの警察官に、公衆での泥酔、警官への暴行などで逮捕された。彼女はロサンゼルスの拘置所にて一晩過ごしたが、2万ドルの保釈金を支払い釈放された[22][23]。同年8月2日にはカリフォルニア州にあるディスカウントストア「ターゲット」にて、ショッピングカートを押しながらまわり、大量の商品を入れたまま店を出たことで万引き未遂でまた逮捕された[24]。ヴァンナイズの拘置所で一晩過ごした後、5000ドルの保釈金を支払い8月3日に釈放された[25]。
