Atropatenice loquuntur in Atropatene (ubi lingua nationalis est) circa 9 000 000[2][3] hominum, in Irania boreoccidentali (in provinciis Atropatene Occidentali et Orientali, Ardebilia et Casbino, ubi inter linguas regionales numeratur) circa 23 000 000.
