Theria (Graece θηρία 'ferae') sunt subclassis mammalium[2], quae catulos vivos pariunt, ovis putamine carentibus, quae eutheria (placentalia et alia) et metatheria (marsupialia et alia) comprehendunt exclusis monotrematibus, quae ova pariunt.

Primum fossile therianum notum est Juramaia, Iurassico medio ascripta, in Sinis inventa. Secundum autem molecularia indicia theria putantur etiam antea, iam Iurassico superiore, orta fuisse.[3]
