Antanas Minkevičius (g. 1900 m. gegužės 30 d. Girsteikiškis, Alantos valsčius – 1998 m. lapkričio 28 d. Vilnius) – Lietuvos botanikas ir mikologas, habilituotas biomedicinos mokslų daktaras, Lietuvos mokslų akademijos narys korespondentas.

Biografija

Sūnus Vytautas Minkevičius. 1928 m. baigė Lietuvos universitetą. 1938 m. gamtos mokslų daktaras, 1961 m. Lietuvos mokslų akademijos narys korespondentas

1925–1940 m. Lietuvos universiteto (nuo 1930 m. Vytauto Didžiojo universitetas) dėstytojas. 1930–1932 m. specializavosi Aukštojoje technikos mokykloje Ciuriche. 1940–1992 m. Vilniaus universiteto dėstytojas, 1940–1944 m. ir nuo 1952 m. Botanikos katedros, 1944–1952 m. Žemesniųjų augalų sistematikos katedros vedėjas; nuo 1944 m. profesorius. 1945–1959 m. dar dirbo Biologijos institute, 1945–1950 m. Botanikos poskyrio vedėjas, 1959–1961 m. Botanikos instituto Fitopatologijos sektoriaus vadovas. 1961–1963 m. Lietuvos mokslų akademijos Gamtos mokslų skyriaus akademikas sekretorius.

Mokslinė veikla

Mokslinių tyrimų svarbiausios sritys – Lietuvos samanų, kerpių, grybų, dumblių flora. Kuršių marių, ežerų augalija, parazitinių grybų biologija. Lietuviško botanikos žodyno (1938 m.) daugelio sporinių augalą vardų autorius,[1]
