Boulton Paul P.116

„Boulton Paul P.115“ ir „Boulton Paul P.116“ buvo žemasparnių monoplanų pradinio mokymo lėktuvų prodjektai, pagal Jungtinės Karalystės Oro susisiekimo ministerijos specifikaciją T.16 / 48 suprojektuoti D. Britanijos įmonės „Boulton Paul Aircraft“.[1] Projektas buvo skirtas pakeistis tarpukariu itin populiarų mokymams naudotą biplaną „De Haviland Tiger Moth", tačiau pralaimėjo konkursą ir nebuvo pagamintas.

Suprojektuotas pagal specifikaciją T.16 / 48, P.115 turėjo pakeisti „Percival Prentice“. Lėktuvui buvo numatytas septynių cilindrų radialinis variklis „Armstrong Siddeley Cheetah“. „Boulton Paul" pasiūlė naudoti naują 400 AG (300 kW) galios „Havilland Gipsy Queen 71“ su kompresoriumi ir reduktoriumi. P.115 turėjo pasiekti 139 mazgų (160 mylių per valandą, 257 km/h) greitį, o kreiserinis greitis turėjo siekti 122 mazgus (140 mylių per valandą, 226 km/h) skrendant 5000 pėdų (1500 m.) aukštyje. Į 10 000 pėdų (3000 m) aukštį orlaivis turėjo pakilti per 10 minučių.
P.116
Konkursui pagal specifikaciją T.16 / 48 Boulton Paul taip pat pateikė P.116 variantą, varomą 295 AG (220 kW) galios varikliu su kompresoriumi „de Havilland Gipsy Queen 50".

Mokomųjų lėktuvų konkurse pagal specifikaciją T.16/48 nugalėjo „Percival Provost“, nugalėjęs lyginamuosiuose bandymuose su „Handley Page HPR2“
