Džagoldajus

Džagoldajaus teritorija

Džagoldajus (rus. Яголдаева тьма, Яголдай, Джаголдай) – nedidelė totorių valda, buvusi Lietuvos Didžiosios Kunigaikštystės kunigaikščių vasalinė valda, egzistavusi iki XVI a.

Istorija

Džagoldajų 1438 m. įkūrė išeiviai iš Aukso Ordos. Ankstesniais metais totorių vienybė buvo pašlijusi, ir kūrėsi nepriklausomos chanystės, kurios kovojo tarpusavyje dėl viršenybės. Kiekvienas Batijaus palikuonis galėjo reikšti savo teises į valdžią, dėl to vykdavo perversmai, kovajama dėl valdžios. Maža to, kilo maro epidemija, nusinešusi daug gyvybių. Šioje suirutėje dalis totorių persikėlė į kaimyninės Lietuvos kontruoliuojamas teritorijas ir stojo į didžiojo kunigaikščio karinę tarnybą. Rilskas, Kurskas ir kiti miestai buvo pasienyje, todėl džagoldajiečiai gindavo kraštą nuo rusėnų ir kitų totorių ordų išpuolių.

Manoma, kad Džagoldajaus teritorija buvo dabartinėse Kursko ir Belgorodo srityse, vadinamoje Severų žemėje.
