Kesihatan

Dalam penggunaan dan perubatan biasa, kesihatan, menurut Pertubuhan Kesihatan Sedunia, ialah "keadaan fizikal, mental dan kesejahteraan sosial yang lengkap kerana ketiadaan penyakit dan kelemahan".[1] Pelbagai definisi telah digunakan untuk tujuan yang berbeza dari semasa ke semasa. Kesihatan boleh digalakkan dengan menggalakkan aktiviti yang menyihatkan, seperti senaman fizikal yang kerap dan tidur yang mencukupi,[2] dan dengan mengurangkan atau mengelakkan aktiviti atau situasi yang tidak sihat, seperti merokok atau tekanan yang berlebihan. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kesihatan adalah disebabkan oleh pilihan individu, seperti sama ada untuk terlibat dalam tingkah laku berisiko tinggi, manakala yang lain adalah disebabkan oleh sebab struktur, seperti sama ada masyarakat diatur dalam cara yang memudahkan atau lebih sukar untuk orang ramai mendapatkan perkhidmatan penjagaan kesihatan yang diperlukan. Namun, faktor lain berada di luar pilihan individu dan kumpulan, seperti gangguan genetik.
