Kudis

Masalah kulit berkudis terbahagi kepada dua jenis, iaitu:

(a) Kudis buta (skabies)

  • Penyakit ini adalah disebabkan oleh hama gatal(betina). Ia gemar mengorek bahagian lipatan kulit dan bertelur di dalamnya.

(b) Jangkitan kulit (impetigo)

  • Ia adalah jangkitan bakteria yang biasanya terjadi di permukaan kulit. Ia mudah dan sering terjadi di kalangan kanak-kanak berbanding orang dewasa.

Tanda-tanda

1. Skabies

  • Gatal di seluruh anggota badan, terutama pada waktu malam.
  • Terdapat bintik-bintik merah yang bernanah di bahagian badan yang dijangkiti.

2. Impetigo

  • Mula muncul sebagai lepuh kecil. Lama-kelamaan, ia akan menggelembung dan membentuk tompok-tompok basah yang kecil berwarna merah.
  • Lepuh ini akan mengeluarkan cecair.
  • Secata beransur-ansur, keruping yang berwarna kuning keperangan akan muncul meliputi kawasan yang dijangkiti.

Bahagian badan yang biasa dijangkiti

1. Skabies

  • Di bahagian badan, celah ketiak, keliling pusat, sendi lengan, tangan, celah-celah jari tangan dan kaki, punggung, dan kemaluan.

2. Impetigo

  • Terjadi di bahagian muka, terutamanya di antara bibir atas dan hidung, lengan, tangan, dan kaki.

Cara mencegah

  1. Utamakan kebersihan diri. Mandi sekurang-kurangnya tiga kali sehari dan gunakan sabun dan air bersih.
  2. Barang keperluan seperti tuala dan baju hendaklah dijaga dengan bersih dan jangan berkongsi dengan orang lain.
  3. Basuh atau jemur pakaian, cadar, dan sarung di bawah cahaya matahari.
  4. Buka tingkap supaya cahaya matahari dapat masuk ke dalam bilik.
  5. Jaga kebersihan kawasan sekitar rumah.
  6. Tutup kudis dengan kain kapas dan plaster.
  7. Elakkan kudis daripada bersentuh dengan orang lain.

Berjumpalah dengan doktor sekiranya

  1. Kudis tidak sembuh selepas tiga atau empat hari.
  2. Jangkitan kulit yang lebih teruk dan merebak ke bahagian lain.
