Helge Risa (født 15. juni 1975[1]) er et av medlemmene i Kaizers Orchestra. Han spiller pumpeorgel, trekkspill og andre tangentinstrumenter samt oljetønne. I Kaizers Orchestra var han også kjent som Helge Omen Kaizer eller Mr. 250%. Både på enkelte opptredener, konsertscener og flere av bandets albumbilder brukte Risa ofte en gassmaske. Gassmasken(e) ble kjøpt på en bruktbutikk i Stavanger for 40,- kr stykk. Under innspillingen av deres fjerde album, Maskineri beskrev han opplevelsen av masken slik: «The Mask, it just came to me. And I took it, and we were friends».

Bakgrunn

Risa er oppvokst ved Flesland utenfor Bergen og bosatte seg senere i Stavanger.[1] Han var nest yngst av fire søsken, faren var lærer og moren var husmor og musikklærer.[2] Han spilte klassisk piano fra 5-årsalderen, deltok i Ungdommens pianomester som 10-åring og gikk på musikklinje på Langhaugen videregående skole.[1][2] Han er utdannet lærer fra lærerhøgskolen på Landås.[1][2]

Karriere

Risa har vært organist i Gnom og Kaizers Orchestra.[1] I begynnelsen av karrièren med Kaizers Orchestra jobbet han som lærer og var klasseforstander på Nylund skole i Stavanger.[1] Senere ble han rockestjerne på heltid.[2] I dokumentaren «Den tilfeldige rockestjernen» som Leiv Igor Devold laget om Kaizers Orchestra var Risa hovedpersonen.[3] Dokumentaren fikk 1 145 000 kroner i støtte og hadde et totalbudsjett på 2 775 000 kroner.[4]

Etter at Kaizers Orchestra tok pause på ubestemt tid jobbet han først som gravemaskinfører og i 2014 var han blitt tømrer i Anders Gilje AS og spilte for to barnekor i Gausel kirke.[1]
