Perus regioner

Perus regioner er det første nivå i den administrative inndelingen av Peru. Etter landets uavhengighet i 1821 ble Peru delt inn i departementer (spansk: Departamentos). I 2002 ble de tidligere 24 departementer pluss Callao-provinsen regioner. Provinsen Lima har blitt ekskludert fra denne prosessen og er ikke en del av en region. I motsetning til de tidligere departementer har regionene en valgt regjering, og har et bredt utvalg av oppgaver innenfor sitt myndighetsområde. Siden 2002 det er en pågående prosess med overføring av funksjoner fra staten til regionene. Peruanske regioner og departementer er inndelt i provinser og distrikter.

Regioner

Areal og befolkning informasjon om følgende listen er hentet fra offisielle data fra den peruanske National Institute of Statistics og informatikk (spansk : Instituto Nacional de Estadística e Informática,INEI).[1] Områder er avrundet til nærmeste hele enhet. Demografiske data er basert på 2005 Census utføres fra 18. juli til 20. august 2005. Befolkningstetthet er gitt til en desimal i personer per kvadratkilometer. UBIGEO tallene er koder som brukes av INEI å identifisere den nasjonale administrative inndelingen.
