Palmeira d'Oeste é um município brasileiro do estado de São Paulo. Localiza-se a uma latitude 20º24'59" sul e a uma longitude 50º45'43" oeste, estando a uma altitude de 433 metros. A cidade tem uma população de 9.227 habitantes (IBGE/2020) e área de 318,740 km².[2] O município é formado pela sede e pelo distrito de Dalas[5][6].

História

Palmeira d'Oeste recebeu status de município pela lei estadual nº 5.121 de 31 de dezembro de 1958.[7]

A cidade era atendida pela Telecomunicações de São Paulo (TELESP)[10], que construiu a central telefônica utilizada até os dias atuais. Em 1998 esta empresa foi privatizada e vendida para a Telefônica[11], sendo que em 2012 a empresa adotou a marca Vivo[12] para suas operações de telefonia fixa.
