Чемпионат СССР по шахматам по переписке 1948—1951

1-й чемпионат СССР по шахматам по переписке проходил с 1948 по 1951 год.

К участию в чемпионате были приглашены все советские гроссмейстеры и мастера. Из них согласились участвовать шестеро (Абрамов, Гречкин, Константинопольский, Копаев, Симагин и Сокольский). Остальные места были предоставлены шахматистам, успешно игравшим в довоенных турнирах.

Главный арбитр — Николай Зубарев (умер 1 января 1951).

По регламенту партии, не закончившиеся до 1 января 1951, присуждались. К этому моменту лидировал Л. Абрамов (10 из 14), но присуждение изменило положение лидеров.
