Алан Уайт (англ. Alan White; 14 июня 1949[1], Ферихилл[вд], Дарем[3] — 26 мая 2022[2], Сиэтл, Вашингтон) — ударник из Великобритании. Барабанщик легендарной рок-группы Yes, в которой проработал около тридцати лет. Кроме Yes, барабанщик участвовал в записи более пятидесяти альбомов с мировыми рок-звёздами, среди которых Джон Леннон, Джордж Харрисон, Джо Кокер, группа The Ventures. По результатам опроса, проведённого российским изданием журнала Classic Rock среди читателей, Уайт занял 8 место среди 50 величайших барабанщиков рока[5]. В 2017 году Уайт Алан стал членом Зала славы рок-н-ролла, благодаря участию в группе Yes[6].

Биография

Уайт родился на северо-востоке Англии 14 июня 1949 года в достаточно музыкальной семье, где все мужчины хорошо владели музыкальными инструментами, в частности игрой на пианино и барабанах. В возрасте шести лет Уайт начал брать уроки игры на фортепиано, играя на этом инструменте «очень ударно». Благодаря влиянию дяди у него в возрасте двенадцати лет появилась ударная установка Ajax[7], а позже металлическая серебристая ударная установка «Ludwig»[8].

Уайт был шафером на свадьбе Джона Андерсона в 1997 году.

Уайт также стал главным маршалом на фестивале Issaquah Salmon Days в Вашингтоне, США.

Уайт умер 26 мая 2022 года в своём доме недалеко от Сиэтла после непродолжительной болезни[9].
