Davor Štefanek (Subotica, 12. septembar 1985), srpski rvač i reprezentativac u rvanju grčko-rimskim stilom. Svetski je šampion iz 2014. godine i najbolji sportista Srbije iste godine po izboru dnevnog lista Sport.[2]

Bio je član rvačkog kluba Spartak iz Subotice, potom član Proletera iz Zrenjanina, a onda se vratio u RК Spartak.[3] Učesnik je Olimpijskih igara u Atini, 2004. i Pekingu, 2008. godine, osvajač bronzane medalje na Svetskom prvenstvu u Las Vegasu 2015. godine i zlatne medalje na Olimpijskim igrama 2016. u Rio de Žaneiru.

Sportska karijera

Кarijeru je počeo u rodnoj Subotici, a vrlo brzo su ga primetili stručnjaci. Bio je član Spartaka, potom Proletera iz Zrenjanina, a onda se vratio u Spartak. Borio se i za Partizan u Кupu evropskih šampiona, kada je osvojio najjače klupsko takmičenje na Starom kontinentu i proglašen za najboljeg takmičara.[4]

Uspesi

Osvajač je zlatne medalje na Svetskom juniorskom prvenstvu 2005. u Litvaniji i na Mediteranskim igrama 2009. godine u Peskari, Italija, kao i srebrne na Evropskom prvenstvu 2004. u Švedskoj i Gran-priju Mađarske, 2009. godine u Sombathelju. 2006. godine je proglašen za najboljeg rvača završnog turnira Кupa evropskih prvaka. Proglašen je i za sportistu godine Grada Subotice u kategoriji seniora, 2008. godine, kada je osvojio bronzanu medalju na Evropskom prvenstvu. Bronzom se okitio i 2012. godine na Evropskom prvenstvu u Beogradu. Na Svetskom prvenstvu 2014. osvojio je zlatnu medalju, prvu svoju medalju na Svetskim prvestvima, prvu medalju na Svetskim prvenstvima za Srbiju od 2007. i prvu zlatnu od 1981. godine. Sledeće godine osvojio je drugu medalju na Svetskim prvenstvima, bronzu u Las Vegasu. Godine 2009. kao član Partizana osvojio je klupsko prvenstvo Evrope. Osvajač je olimpijskog zlata na Olimpijskim igrama 2016. u grčko-rimskom stilu do 66 kilograma.[5] Osvojio je srebrnu medalju na Svetskom prvenstvu u Budimpešti 2018. pošto je izgubio od Rusa Artena Surkova.[6]
