Sokolovići su naseljeno mjesto u Bosni i Hercegovini u opštini Rudo koja pripada entitetu Republika Srpska. Na popisu stanovništva 1991. u njemu je živjelo 49 stanovnika.[1]

Geografija

Istorija

Naselje je mjesto porijekla većeg broja osmanlijskih historijskih ličnosti koji su svi nosili prezime Sokolovići. Najpoznatiji je Veliki vezir Mehmed paša Sokolović. Prema vjerovanju, ovdje je izgradio džamiju za dušu svog oca koji se preselio u Istanbul, ali i crkvu za svoju majku koja se nije preselila u Istanbul. Pisanih tragova o postojanju hrama nema. Kao drugi po važnosti, je Mustafa-paša Sokolović, utemeljitelj kasabe Rudo i najvećeg vakifa spomenute kasabe. Treći je Bošnjak Lala Mehmed-paša Sokolović, zatim Ferhat-paša Sokolović, amidžić Mehmed-paše Sokolovića i vakif banjalučke Ferhadije džamije, zatim Derviš-paša Sokolović, Lala Karamustafa-paša Sokolović, Kurbeg Sokolović, Kara Ali-beg Sokolović, Hasana-paša Sokolovi i Džemaludin Sinan-beg Sokolović.

Poznati Sokolović je i Makarije Sokolović, obnovitelj Pećke patrijaršije (1557-1571), brat ili bliski srodnik Mehmed paše. Njegov bratanac Antonije Sokolović je bio slijedeći patrijarh (1571-1575), a onda redom Gerasim Sokolović (1557-1586), Savatije Sokolović (1586-1589), Jerotej Sokolović (1589-1590), Filip Sokolović (1591-1592).

Selo Sokolovići danas je sablasno pusto, s tek nekoliko raštrkanih, uglavnom napuštenih kuća. Selom dominira po drugi put obnovljena džamija, koju je Mehmed-paša sagradio svom ocu Džemaludinu Sinan-begu Sokoloviću (Dimitriju). Predanja kažu da je majci, koja nije otišla u Istanbul, sagradio (ili htio sagraditi) crkvu, čija obnova je počela 2016.
