"I love you, California" is the state song of California.
The lyrics were written in 1913, by Francis Beatty Silverwood, the music was composed by Abraham Franklin Frankenstein, on the same year. The song was first performed by Mary Garden in 1915 on the first ship to pass through the Panama Canal. The song was adopted by California's legislature in 1951 and in 1988, after the copyright had expired, the song got statutory recognition.[1]
