Syed Muhammad Mukhtar Ashraf Ashrafi Al-Jilani (4 August 1916-21 November 1996) known as Sarkar-e-Kalaan or Makhdoom-ul-Mashaikh was an Indian Sufi saint and Islamic scholar who belonged to the family of Sadaat-e-Kichhauchha, the descendants of Ashraf Jahangir Semnani.[1][2][3][4] He was father of Syed Muhammad Izhar Ashraf, his successor as the custodian of Dargah of Ashraf Jahangir Semnani.[5]
