Scarlet Witch

Scarlet Witch (Wanda Maximoff) is a fictional character. She appears in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character was created by writer Stan Lee and artist Jack Kirby. Her first appearance was in The X-Men #4 (March 1964) in the Silver Age of Comic Books.

Fictional character biography

She is a mutant who has the ability to use chaos magic to alter reality, and is the twin sister to Pietro, a fellow mutant who can move at fast speeds. Originally a member of the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants, Wanda and Pietro would redeem themselves and become members of the Avengers, a superhero team that stopped threats. Scarlet Witch became the love-interest to the Vision, an android created by Ultron, and the two would later marry.
