Konusu

Büyük Britanya Ordusunda görevli Jody, onu politik amaçları doğrultusunda kullanmak isteyen IRA tarafından kaçırılır. Jody'ye gözkulak olması için başına Fergus adlı bir militan verilir. Bu iki sözde düşman kısa süre içinde kendilerine özgü bir arkadaşlık geliştirirler. Öldürülme ihtimali yüksek olduğu için Jody, Fergus'tan eğer ölürse sevgilisine gözkulak olması konusunda söz alır.

Güvenlik güçlerinin bir müdahalesi sırasında Jody gerçekten de bir askeri arabanın altında kalarak ölür. Kaçıp saklanan Fergus ise Londra'da bir hayat kurmaya başlar; ama Jody'yi bir türlü aklından çıkaramaz. Sonunda Jody'ye verdiği sözü tutmak ve sevgilisi Dil'i bulmak ister.
