Hindistan cevizi yağı

Hindistan cevizi yağı, hindistan cevizi avucundan hasat edilen olgun çekirdekten elde edilen bir yemeklik yağdır. Çeşitli uygulamalara sahiptir. Yüksek oranda doymuş yağ içermesinden dolayı oksitlenmesi yavaştır ve bu nedenle bozulma olmadan 24 °C'de altı aya kadar dayanabilmektedir.[1] "Sağlıklı" olarak pazarlanmasına rağmen yüksek doymuş yağ (özellikle de laurik asit) oranı nedeniyle kalp hastalıkları ile ilişkilendirilmekte ve sağlığa etkileri genellikle tereyağı, donyağı ve palm yağı gibi yağlarla karşılaştırılmaktadır.[2][3]
