Irena Vrkljan (d. 21 Ağustos 1930, Belgrad)[1] – (ö. 23 Mart 2021, Zagreb),[2] Hırvat yazar ve çevirmen.[3]

Yaşamı

Vrkljan 21 Ağustos 1930 tarihinde Belgrad, Yugoslavya Krallığı'nda doğdu. Zagreb Üniversitesi ve Berlin'de bulunan Alman Film ve Sahne Sanatları Akademisi'nde öğrenim gördü. Yaşamı sürdürdüğü Zagreb ile Berlin'de hem Hırvatça hem de Almanca dilinde eserler yazdı. Ayrıca filmler ve radyo eserleri içerikler üretirken bir yandan da Hırvat yazarların eserlerini Almancaya çevirdi.[3]

Kaleme aldığı bazı eserleri arasında; Seta, forbici, Marina ili o biografiji ve Berlinski rukopis sayılabilir. Çalışmalarıyla 2006 yılında Vladimir Nazor Ödülü'nü aldı.[4]

Ölümü

Vrkljan 23 Mart 2021 tarihinde Zagreb, Hırvatistan'da 90 yaşında öldü.
