Peyâm-ı Sabah

Peyam-ı Sabah, İstanbul'da yayımlanmış (12 Ocak 1920-11 Eylül 1922) günlük gazete. Mihran Efendi'nin çıkardığı Sabah gazetesi, son Meclis-i Mebûsan'ın toplandığı günlerde, İttihat ve Terakki yönetimine karşı yıllarca sert bir muhalefet yürüten Peyam gazetesiyle birleşti. Peyam-ı Sabah adını alan gazetenin yönetimini de başyazar Ali Kemal üstlendi. Gazete, onun yönlendiriciliğinde İttihat ve Terakki'nin ardılı olarak görülen Kuvâ-yi Milliye'ye karşı sert bir mücadele yürüttü. Bu çizgi Kurtuluş Savaşı (1919-23) boyunca değişmedi. 11 Eylül 1922'de Peyam-ı Sabah'ın adının yeniden Sabah'a dönüştürüldüğü belirtildi. Gazete yayımını 12 Eylül 1922'den sonra bu adla sürdürdüyse de, kısa bir süre sonra Mihran Efendi, Sabah'ı kapatarak Avrupa'ya gitti. Peyam gazetesinin verdiği "Peyam-ı Edebi" ekleri, Peyam-ı Sabah tarafından da yayımlandı ve edebiyat çevrelerinde ilgi gördü. Ankara'da, Peyam-ı Sabah'ın yayınlarını alaya almak amacıyla, Aka Gündüz tarafından Anadolu'da Peyam-ı Sabah adıyla bir mizah gazetesi yayımlanmıştı.[1][2][3]
