Sandra Ann Goodrich (d. 26 Şubat 1947, Dagenham, Essex, İngiltere), daha çok Sandie Shaw olarak bilinen 1960'ların en başarılı İngiliz şarkıcısı. En ilginç özelliği sahnede performansını yalınayak sergilemesidir. 17 yaşında iken müzik hayatına başlamıştır. 1967 yılında Puppet on a String (Kukla) şarkısı ve şarkıya uygun bir figürle Eurovision Şarkı Yarışmasını kazandı, ayrıca yarışma tarihinin en büyük başarılarından birisidir.[1]

Kariyer

Adam Faith, Sandie Shaw'i bir konserde keşfetti (o konser, bir yetenek yarışmasıydı ve 2. oldu). İlk kayıt sözleşmesi 1964 yılında alındı. As Long As You're Happy Baby isimli albümüyle büyük bir başarı elde etti.[2] Kısa bir süre sonra ünlü oldu, 1964 Ekim'de, Always Something There To Remind Me adlı şarkısını kaydetti; bu şarkının sözleri Burt Bacharach ve Hal David tarafından yazılmıştır.[3]

8 Nisan 1967 tarihinde Viyana'da yapılan Eurovision Şarkı Yarışması'nda, Puppet on a String şarkısı ve figürü ile büyük bir avantajla ülkesini temsil etti ve yüksek bir puan alarak birinci oldu. Bir kez daha yalınayak Sandie ortaya çıktı.

1984 yılında Morrissey ile birlikte Hand in Glove adlı şarkıyı kaydetti ve kısa süre içinde büyük bir beğeni topladı.[4]
