Hayatı

Reid, 21 Aralık 1937'de Glasgow, İskoçya'da doğdu.[2] Moreton Hall Okulu'nda eğitim gördü.[3] 1960'ta oyunculuğa başladı. Ağırlıklı TV yapımı film ve dizilerde görüldü.[4] En çok; Madge Harvey rolünde oldığu ITV kanalı yapımı komedi dizisi Benidorm (2007-2016) ile akıllarda kaldı. Kraliyet Ulusal Tiyatrosu'nda Laurence Olivier, Ingmar Bergman ve Elliott Gould gibi ustalarla çalıştı.[5][6] Rol aldığı diğer bazı önemli yapımlar arasında; Othello (1965), Doctor Who (1985-2014), Brazil (1985), The Winter Guest (1997), Where the Heart Is (1998) ve Containment (2015) sayılabilir.[7]

Özel yaşamı

İlk evliliğini 1967'den 1999'da ayrılana kadar oyuncu Julian Curry ile yapmış ve 2008'de ise ikinci evliliğini Terry Bullen ile gerçekleştirmiştir.[8]
