Solo (oyun)

Beckett'ın Solo, Beşik ve Ohio Doğaçlaması oyunlarının yer aldığı kitap.

Solo (A Piece of Monologue), Samuel Beckett'in on beş dakikalık oyunudur. 2 Ekim 1977[1] ve 28 Nisan 1979 tarihleri arasında aktör David Warrilow'un "ölüm hakkında oyun" isteği üzerine yazıldı. La MaMa Experimental Theatre Club'ta[2] sahelenen oyunda David Warrilow yer aldı.

Oyun, bir konuşmacının, doğum ve ölüm üzerine bir öyküden parçalar anlatmasından oluşmaktadır. Anlatılan öykü, arka plandaki tiyatro dekorunun ayrıntılarına birebir uymaktadır. Oyun, önce fotoğrafların yok edilmesi ardından da yağmurlu bir günde gerçekleşen bir cenazenin anıları yoluyla bir arkadaşlığın yok oluşunu dramatize etmektedir.

Robin Lefévre yönetiminde 20 dakikalık kısa filme çekilen oyun, Stephen Brennan tarafından oynandı.
